Mrs. Lila Jeanette Wood Jackson, age 89, of Silver Creek

Mrs. Lila Jeanette Wood Jackson, age 89, of Silver Creek, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at a local hospital.

                Mrs. Jackson was born in Floyd County, Georgia on January 4, 1934, daughter of the late William Cecil Wood and the late Lillie Mae Ellington Wood.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howard Jackson.  Mrs. Jackson was a 1950 graduate of McHenry High School.  She was a hard worker who worked at many different jobs including 17 years at Lindale Manufacturing and later as a lunchroom worker for Paulding County Schools.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. Jackson was a wonderful cook and baked delicious cakes.  Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

                Survivors include a daughter, Diane Lumpkin (Anthony); four sons, Curt Jackson (Ann Marie), Chuck Mansell (Melanie), Mark Mansell (Kandy), and Jeff Mansell (Jamie); seven grandchildren, Rusty Mansell, Leann Fowler, Luke Lumpkin, Brandi Banks, Hannah Outlaw, Charlie Jackson, and Bertie Jackson; eleven great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews.

                Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 3pm at Rome Memorial Park.  Pastor Adam Colston will officiate.

                Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
