One of the four individuals charged in a shooting on Friday in Rockmart has been arrested.

Reports said that the events of the night began around 7 pm on Friday when a Dodge Challenger pulled up to a pedestrian walking along Fairview Road. Authorities said that the car pulled over and four men, including Kingston Larenz Tolbert, 21 of Cedartown, got out of the car and began to assault the victim.

Another car pulled over to help the victim when the four in the Challenger began to shoot, striking all four before fleeing the scene.

Polk County Authorities were later able to locate the Challenger on Holly Street near Aragon where they took Tolbert into custody.    The three others fled the scene.

The victims in the shooting were said to be between the ages of 17 and 41 years-old.  They were taken to a Paulding County hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are said to be between the ages of 16 and 19 years-old.

Tolbert is charged with party to a crime, reckless driving and attempting to elude police.

Polk County Police are investigating a shooting on Friday that resulted in four individuals being injured.

According to Police Chief Kenny Dodd, the shooting occurred outside at the intersection of Fairview Road and Morgan Street in Rockmart around 10:30 pm Friday.

Dodd added that none of the victim’s injuries were listed as life threatening.

He did not release information on the possible suspect(s).
