Christopher “Chris” Coker, age 54, passed away the morning of Sunday, February 5th, 2023, after a short illness.
He loved his family and fishing. He was a renowned painter, known throughout the area for his detailed and quick work that made any room look amazing. He was just as much a master of the grill as he was the master of the fishing rod and the paintbrush. He was funny and always had everyone laughing. Chris always looked forward to the weekend, spending time with his family singing karaoke, being at the ballpark, and his Saturday night sleepovers with his grandchildren. He loved Katie, his children and grandchildren, and his HeyDudes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Katie, and his three children: Kristen Tow (Jacob), Zach Coker (Kayla) and Daulton Coker. He also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren: Kimsey Tow, Eli Tow, Lily Coker and Brilee Ginn. Also surviving is his mother, Arlene Coker, and his brothers and sisters, Tammy Fuller (Joe), Brian Coker (Millie), Steve Coker (Christie), Charmain Serritt (Allan), and Ryan Coker (Misty) and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Marvin Coker.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Christopher “Chris” Coker.
