Mrs. Kay Ann Boswell, age 75, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Boswell was born in Gordon County, March 26, 1947, daughter of the late Nuil Fleet “Jute” Sutton and Edna Kate Colston Sutton. She was a faithful Christian and member of the Adairsville Church of Christ. Kay Ann graduated from Fall’s Business College in Atlanta. She then went to work for the Bartow County Board of Education at Adairsville High School and retired after 37 years. She was an avid reader, loved baking, and enjoyed getting out to ride through the country. Kay Ann cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for being the best wife, mother and mawmaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Justin Jute Garland.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years; Jerry Boswell; son and daughter-in-law, Pakston and Vickie Boswell; daughter, Dodie Boswell Carpenter; grandchildren, Tyler and Lindsey Boswell, Bailey and Neal Young, Josh Garland, Kiley Rogers, and Katie Rogers; great-grandchildren, Parker Kate Boswell and Justin Trace Boswell; brother, Donnie and Patsy Sutton; sister, Melissa Garner; sister-in-law, Pamela and Bobby Cox; special friends, Kelly Seymour Boswell, JoAnn Holcomb and Glenda Upshaw; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Ministers Steve McCaslin and Rick Lawson officiating. A private interment will follow in Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Boswell, Josh Garland, Neal Young, Terry Woodring, Chad Sutton and Corey Sutton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
