Mr. Walter P. Simpson, age 61, of Shannon, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at his residence.

                Mr. Simpson was born in Jacksonville, FL, on September 4, 1961, son of the late Walter Junior Simpson and the late Evelyn Louise Lambert Simpson.  He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Michael Simpson, James Simpson and Kenneth Simpson.  Mr. Simpson was an electrician for the Fairbanks Co. for many years, having previously been employed with Rome Tool & Dye for over 25 years.  He was a family man through and through, was God’s gift to Earth as a dad and his grand babies were his world.  Mr. Simpson was a hard worker who was smarter than most thought and could fix anything he set his mind to.  He loved playing golf, grilling, throwing back a few cold ones and watching Fox & Friends. To know Mr. Simpson was to love him.  He was of the Baptist faith.

                Survivors include his wife, Angie Reynolds Simpson, Shannon, to whom he was married on December 5, 2008; a daughter, Cindy Watson (Bryant); 2 sons, James Simpson and J.W. Simpson; a stepson, Clint Davis (April Price); 2 grandchildren, Chelsey Simpson and Halleigh Watson; a brother, Timothy Simpson; nieces and nephews.

                Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 14, 2022, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Alfred Little officiating.  Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.

                The family will receive friends from 12pm until service time on Monday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.

                Pallbearers are to assemble by 1:30pm on Monday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, and include: Clint Davis, Bryant Watson, Drake Byrd, Kenneth Reynolds, John Mazzo and Ted Newberry.
