Kyle Taler Handy, 29 of Rainbow City, AL, was arrested in Rome after reports said he took $13,880 for work that was never done.
Reports said that between March and April of this year, Hardy took $7,710 money for work he was supposed to do on a swimming pool on Doyle Road. Handy reportedly never did the work.
The same time period, he also took $6,170 for work he was supposed to do on a swimming pool at a cation on Rockdale Road in Silver Creek. Like the other, he never performed the work.
Handy is charged with two counts felony theft by deception and two counts of conversion of payments for real property investments.
