Derrick Larenzo Richardson, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he grabbed and struck his wife in the face with a closed fist.
Reports added that the impact caused the woman to fall to the ground.
The incident occurred at their home on Calhoun Road on September 14th.
Richardson is charged with battery.
