Dana Michelle Tidwell, 50 of Fort Payne, was arrested this week after reports said she signed her daughter’s name as her own while getting a ticket in Rome.
Reports said that authorities later found out Tidwell had lied about her identity in an effort to avoid arrest because she was a wanted fugitive.
Tidwell is charged with first degree forgery, identify fraud, giving false information to police and safety belts violation.
The traffic stop was conducted back in December of 2019.
