Mrs. Marilyn Jean Clark, age 69 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, July 5, 2022 following a brief illness.

Mrs. Clark was born in Trion, Georgia on August 2, 1952, daughter of Annie Laura Daniel Dyer and the late Robert Eugene Dyer.  She was a member of the Trion United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Trion United Methodist Women and the Hope Sunday School Class.  Mrs. Clark retired from Floyd Medical Center, where she worked as an Insurance Clerk and had previously worked with Mount Vernon Mills.  She enjoyed Silver Sneakers, loved to travel, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan, but her favorite activity was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her father, Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Burdette.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Ted Clark; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Kevin Wallin; son, Blake Clark; mother, Ann Dyer; brother and sister-in-law, Kerry Wayne and Nan Dyer; grandchildren, Kilie Clark, Kelsey Clark and Britt Wallin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Clark will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Trion United Methodist Church with Rev. David Autry, Rev. Skip Mitchell and Mr. Johnny Solesbee officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be CJ Thomas, Cody Thomas, Charles Thomas, Randy Brinkley, Wayne Henderson and John Howard.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the Hope Sunday School Class of the Trion United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Clark will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  On Friday, Mrs. Clark will lie in state at the Trion United Methodist Church from 10:30 until the hour of service.
