One individual has been arrested with drug charges in Etowah County, according to Sheriff Jonathan Horton.
Taurrean Carderius Jackson (32) of Gadsden, Alabama is charged with Drug Trafficking (Synthetic), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana First, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess Firearms, and two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine)
On July 18, 2022 Agents with the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Taurrean Jackson at his residence in Gadsden, Alabama for two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine). Subsequent to the arrest, a search warrant was executed at 1561 Terrace Dr Gadsden, Al. Agents found a large quantity of Synthetic Marijuana, a quantity of Marijuana, and one handgun.
Taurrean Jackson was arrested and is being held in the Etowah County Jail on a $90,000.00 cash bond and $10,000.00 property bond.
The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit, Gadsden Police Department, Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI North Alabama Criminal Enterprise Task Force participated in the case.
