Mrs. Sarah Janice Mills Miller, age 85, of Cave Spring, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at a local hospital, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Miller was born in Floyd Springs, Georgia on May 2, 1937, daughter of the late Bishop A. Mills and the late Mary Lizzie Barnett Mills. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Miller, by a son-in-law, Greg Dunn, by a brother, Finnis Mills, and by a sister, Annalee Blalock. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Armuchee High School. She was a long-time member of Fairview Baptist Church and was currently a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Even though Mrs. Miller worked at Coosa Bakery, Arrow Shirt Company, and for several years as a Paraprofessional at Cave Spring High School, her main job and the one she was most proud of was being an amazing mother and grandmother. She was a master gardener and loved working in her yard and her flowers. Her flowers meant everything to her, and she loved sharing them with her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Dunn and Nadine West (Buddy), three grandsons, Jeremy May, Kyle May, and Kolt Dunn (Savanna); a great grandson, Tucker; two sisters, Joy Womack and Sue Houze; two special friends, Joyce Heath and Mary Alice Bing; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends that she considered family.
