W.C. “Cliff” Haynes, 96, of Calhoun, Ga passed away May 1, 2022. He was born in Bradenton, Florida on November 25, 1925 to the late William David Haynes and Lula Elizabeth Pickett Haynes. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Mae Cookson Haynes; son, Clifford E. Haynes; six brothers; and three sisters.

Cliff served his country in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Nell Haynes, Edd and Judy Haynes; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dwight Cowart; grandchildren, Heather Casey, Andy Haynes, Eric Cowart, Amanda Langley, Sally Haynes, Christina Haynes, Shane Kirby, Jessica Haynes, Will Haynes; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sequatchie Memorial Park in Jasper, Tennessee at 3:00 PM. Pallbearers are Andy Haynes, Matt Langley, Eric Cowart, Shane Kirby, Tate Kirby, and Brady Haynes. Honorary pallbearers are Colin Farrell and Paul Casey.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Research.
