52 year old Wilson Lee Lynch was charged with Burglary 3rd, Theft of Property 1st x2, Certain Persons Prohibited from Possessing a Firearm, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.
Between April 1st and 4th, 2022, the victim in the case passed away from natural causes. During this time, the offender (Wilson Lee Lynch) entered the home.
Several firearms, and a substantial amount of other property from the victim’s residence.
Investigators developed a suspect through neighbors and family members.
A search warrant was obtained from information gathering in the investigation and executed at a residence on Gallant Rd where Mr. Lynch located and the property was recovered and returned to family members of the victim. During the search illegal narcotics were found and turned over to the Etowah County Drug unit where further charges are expected, according to Investigator Shannon Thomas.
Mr. Lynched was taken to the Etowah County Detention Center on $50,000 surety bond.
