Mrs. Annie Miriam “Tootsie” Early, age 81, of Rome, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Early was born in Floyd County, Georgia on February 22, 1941, the daughter of the late Armour Brock and the late Mary Lou Morrison Brock.  She graduated from Coosa High School.  She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Vernon William Early; her children, Jeff Early (Melanie) and Sherry McClain (Wade); her grandchildren, Jessica McClain (Josh), Hannah Gonzales (Tyler), Leah Early and Jaimi McClain (Steven); her great grandchildren, Riley Baker and Gianna Gonzales; her brothers-in-law, Wendell Early (Judy) and Hugh Early (Judy); many special friends and special cousins, Sandi McClendon (Windell), Mike Morrison (Rebecca) and Mikey Morrison.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 2:00 pm in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jerry Dudley officiating.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 1:00pm until the service time.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 1:30pm and are as follows:  Active:  Wendell Early, Terry Williams, Wade Little, Steven Headrick, Josh Comer and Tyler Gonzales.  Honorary:  Hugh Early, Windell McClendon, Mike Morrison, Eddie Watters and Bob Hix.
