Henry Ford “Hank” Jackson, III, age 52, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at a local hospital.
Hank was born in Rome, Georgia on April 8, 1969, son of Henry Ford Jackson, Jr. and Rita Diane Reed Jackson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry, Sr. & Sara Jackson, and Charles & Kay Reed. Prior to retirement, Hank served with the Rome Police Department for 28 years, retiring as a Detective. He was of the Methodist faith. From the deepest parts of his soul, Hank was a Cowboy.
Survivors include a daughter, Bailey Jackson (Colby Garren), Tifton; a grandson, Reese Garren; his parents, Henry & Rita Jackson, Rome; two brothers, Steve Jackson and Chuck Jackson (Denise); a sister, Kendra Blair (Barry); five nephews; one niece.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tonya Hardeman officiating. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rome Police Department Honor Guard and other Floyd County agencies presenting honors.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 4 until 6pm.
Members of the Rome Police Department Honor Guard and other Floyd County Agency Honor Guards will serve as pallbearers.
