Floyd County Police arrested two individuals Eric Lamon Jackson, 43 of Calhoun, and Tiffany Bowles, 36 of Atlanta, at a store near the intersection of GA 156 and Hwy 27 for trafficking drugs with two small children present.

Reports said that Jackson was driving a car at speeds of over 20 mph over the posted zone and with his license plate blacked out.

Police stated that after observing two children, ages 9 months and 2 years, unrestrained a search of the vehicle was conducted.

Officers stated that while searched the car they found marijuana, a large bag of ecstasy, a digital scale, a marijuana grinder, and a handgun. They also found a second bag of ecstasy, 21 large bags of methamphetamine,  two small bags of marijuana and a handgun on Bowles later at the jail.

Jail deputies reported that after being brought in Jackson claimed that all of the items found on Bowles was his.

Both are charged with possession o a controlled substance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession and distribution of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and trafficking methamphetamine.

Bowles is also charged with crossing the guard line with drugs.

Jackson is additionally charged with speeding, display of license plate, and a seat belt violation for children.
