Broaderick Maurice Smith, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he liked to them about being attacked.
Police said that he made false statements to law enforcement officers accusing another person of battery under the family violence act.
The incident occurred back on July 30th of this year.
Smith has been charged with false statements to police.
