The Rome Braves, High-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, have announced four roster move ahead of tonight’s series-opener with the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
RHP Indigo Diaz has been promoted to Double-A Mississippi. The Michigan State product posted a 1.00 ERA in 18 appearances with Rome this season, striking out 54 and allowing just a .117 opposing batting average in 27.0 innings pitched. Diaz was 4-1 on the season in High-A and recorded 5 saves.
In a corresponding move, RHP Justin Yeager will come to Rome from Low-A Augusta. Yeager was 5-0 as a GreenJacket, striking out 35 batters in 22.0 innings and carrying a 3.27 ERA. The Woodridge, Ill., native also picked up 2 saves in Augusta. Yeager will wear jersey no. 22 for the R-Braves.
RHP Luis Mora has been placed on Rome’s Injured List. The right-hander left Sunday’s game after throwing just five pitches.
OF Michael Harris II rejoins Rome’s Active Roster on Tuesday. The top prospect was briefly on the team’s Temporarily Inactive List after playing in the MLB Futures Game on Sunday afternoon at Coors Field in Denver, Colo. The Rome roster now has 30 active, 4 injured, and 2 inactive player
