Cornelius Dante Cooley, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly filed a false report to police.

Report stated that Cooley  drove and wrecked his own vehicle on Branham Avenue before reporting to police that his car had been stolen.

It was determined that Cooley was the one who operated his vehicle, on a revoked license, when he wrecked the car.

While taking  Cooley into custody police allegedly found him in possession of marijuana.

Cooley is charged with the false report of a crime, driving on a revoked license and possession of marijuana.
