A Summerville woman was charged with Simple Battery and Disorderly Conduct after she attacked her daughters boyfriend on Saturday.
According to the Summerville Police Department, Officers were dispatched to a call of a physical domestic. Upon arriving officers spoke with Joseph David Wilson, Jr. who was visibly upset. Wilson stated that he and his girlfriend had arrived at the home about 30 minutes prior, but had been sitting in the car. For reasons unknown, his girlfriends mother, Jana Moore came out of the house and approached his side of the vehicle.
According to Wilson, Moore then opened his door and was very rude toward him, and then became belligerent when told not to take a bag from the backseat. Foul language was exchanged between the two and then Jana Moore attacked Mr. Wilson. Officers observed fresh, red marks on Josephs face, shoulder, and throat, where she had attempted to choke him.
Both Santeria Watkins, Moore’s daughter, and another witness on scene corroborated with Joseph Wilsons story. Jana Moore stated that while has had became physical with Joseph, that she only grabbed at his chest area. The reason she gave is that she, Moore, did not like the foul language Mr. Wilson used with her.
Officers then placed Ms. Moore under arrested and booked her into the Chattooga County Jail under charges of disorderly conduct and simple battery.
