Stephen Corey Fuqua, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week at a location on Park Avenue after police said he violated a court protective order and attacked a woman.
Reports said Fuqua went to the home of person he was ordered to stay away from and attacked her — grabbing her by the neck, dragging her across a yard and choking her.
Fuqua is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, false imprisonment, battery and terroristic threats and acts.
