Carol Hunter Elrod, 59 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said she attacked a nurse in the ER at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Reports said that the incident started when Elrod began to curse at staff in a loud manner. She then proceeded to attempt to kick a nurse in the face before blowing snot on her.
When police were dispatched to the room she refused to comply with officers as well.
Elrod is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and obstruction.
