Gaspar Manuel Chan-Cux, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found him passed out intoxicated on the side of the road after attacking a woman at a home on Drummond Drive.
Reports said that before Chan-Cux passed out on side of the road he slapped a woman’s hand in order to prevent her from calling 911 for help.
The phone, along with marijuana, was found on him while being placed under arrest.
Chan-Cux is charged with possession of marijuana, simple battery, obstruction of a person making a 911 call and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol.
