Ruquiyah Kingston, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she attacked her 70 year-old mother with a knife.
Reports said that Kingston shoved her mother to the ground, causing injury to her back. It was then Kingston grabbed the victim by the throat as she repeatedly punched her in the face.
Officers went on to say that Kingston then grabbed a knife and cut the victim’s hair off.
Kingston is charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment, elder abuse, and battery.
