The Bartow County Jail has announced that it is quarantining the entire jail population, effective October 14th. The announcement comes following numerous inmates testing positive for COVID-19.
According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap, “many inmates that have tested positive have been largely asymptomatic”. He added, “we think it is prudent to quarantine to prevent the further spread”.
Millsap went on to say, “please do not call and ask if your relative or loved one has tested positive, due to HIPPA regulations we cannot release this information”.
