Douglas Lee Sanders, 57 of Rockmart, was arrested in Rome this week after he engaged in online conversation with someone he thought to be a child younger than 16 years of age.
Reports said that Sanders sent the “child” photographs of his penis as he asked her to engage in sexual activities with him.
Sanders proceeded to ask the “child” for nude photographs before arranging a meeting. He was taken into custody at the arranged location.
Sanders is charged with aggravated child molestation, electronically furnishing obscene material to a child, computer use to solicit a child to commit a felony, obscene internet contact with a child and sexual exploitation of a child.
