Mrs. Mary Frances Saylors Nicholson, age 90 of Trion, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Nicholson was born in Trion, Georgia on November 3, 1929, daughter of the late Pruitt O. Broome and Mabel Worsham Broome Shockley. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting doilies, but absolutely loved being with her family and grandbabies. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church, and was retired from the weave room at Mt. Vernon Mills. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nicholson was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Saylors; second husband, Robert Nicholson, and a son David Lamar Saylors.

Mrs. Nicholson is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Stan Clements, Jean and Dan Meadows, and Carol and Joe Waters; step children, Pat and Bill Pierce and Lenora and Frank Pence; sister, Evelyn Young; special friend, Jeff Duncan; grandchildren, David Saylors, Amber Saylors, Jeff Cooper, Karen Pilcher and Emily Clements; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment services for Mrs. Nicholson will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in the West Hill Cemetery with Minister Robbie Eversole officiating.

Due to the public threat of the COVID-19 virus, there will be no public visitation.
