Daniel Keith Inman, 33 of Fort Payne, AL, was arrested in Rome after reports said he made contact with someone he thought to be a child under the age of 16 and proceeded to have sexual conversations though an online chat.
Reports added that Inman sent nude photographs of himself and ask for nude photos in return. He also allegedly described sex acts he wished to perform with the child, including sodomy.
He proceeded to arrange a location in Rome to where he was to meet the child and engage in those acts.
He was taken into custody at that location. While being arrested, he was found in possession of a gun.
Inman is charged with aggravated child molestation, electronically furnishing obscene materials to a child, use of a computer to solicit a child to commit a felony, obscene internet contact with a child, sexual exploitation of a child and possession of a fire during the commission of a felony.
