Jay Wilson Baird, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he got on top of a 21 year-old woman and then refused to get off and allow her to call 911 for help.
Reports said that Baird then proceeded to take the victim’s Apple watch with the intent to deprive the woman of her property.
Baird is charged with aggravated assault, theft by taking, false imprisonment and obstruction.
