Taz Allen Cox, 26 of Centre, was arrested in Rome after a traffic stop for not wearing a seat belt led police to find a handgun and methamphetamine.
Reports said that a K9 dog sniffed out a firearm and a bag of methamphetamine.
Cox is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug related objects, use of a firearm during the commission of a crime and being a fugitive from justice.
