Charles Brock Whitfield, 30 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he shoved a woman into a brick wall causing a laceration and knot on her head.
Reports added that the woman also suffered an injury to her right arm from the attack.
The incident occurred at a location on Blacks Bluff Road.
Whitfield is charged with battery.
