Matthew Danis Adams, 36 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he slapped a woman in the face after breaking a child’s cellhone with a hammer.
Report said that Adams also broke a bamboo shelf and vase during the altercation.
Adams is charged with simple battery and criminal damage to property.
