The Summerville Police Department continues to investigate a knife fight that took place in Summerville, leaving two with lacerations.

According to an incident report released Friday by Summerville Police Department, a caller to 911 said that they observed someone running with a knife near the Depot in Summerville.  When officers arrived on the scene they located two men who had been involved in an altercation.

One of the men was Michael Gamble who had recently been banned from the Hope Rebirth Homeless Shelter for making threatening statements to residents at the shelter.  Gamble allegedly was seeking to purchase drugs from another male subject, identified as Damien Frazier at a residence in Summerville.  Police say that Gamble had given Frazier $5 to secure some marijuana.  While Frazier was making phone calls to try to get the drugs for Gamble, he became impatient and demanded his money back.  A fight ensued between the two men.

Both men were located at Dowdy Park in Summerville and arrested.  Police say that both had lacerations and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The incident is still under investigation.
