Floyd County Schools (FCS) is thrilled to announce that Pepperell Primary (PPS), McHenry Primary (MPS), and Johnson Elementary (JES) have been recognized by Niche.com, the largest website for researching K-12 schools, at the top of the list of 2019’s Elementary Schools with the Best Teachers in Georgia! This year, PPS ranked first, MPS ranked third, and JES ranked 77th on the list of 100 elementary schools across the state.

“We know that FCS has some of the best teachers and this honor validates that our community feels the same way,” said FCS Assistant Superintendent and Executive Director of Human Resources Jeanie Hubbard. “We strive to create a working environment where teachers are happy and have a desire to stay with our system. We are very proud of this recognition.”

According to Niche.com, the rankings are based on teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio, the Niche Academics Grade for the school, and the district’s Teachers Grade. The statistical data used in this ranking was obtained from the U.S. Department of Education and then analyzed by Niche’s team of data scientists to create the 2019 rankings.
