Monteco Johnson, 22, of Rome was arrested this week for purchasing a stolen firearm.
According to police, Johnson was driving a vehicle with no license plate. The police also found him to be in possession of a firearm. It was then found that the gun was reported stolen.
Johnson admitted that he had purchased the gun from another individual for $100.
Johnson was also driving without a license.
Johnson is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, driving without a license, and obscured or missing license plate.
