Richard Rood, 28, of Rome was arrested late Wednesday night when he threatened a woman with violence and operated a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Rood is accused of making terroristic threats against the 45-year-old victim. He committed acts and conducted in a manner that made the victim fear for her life. He was in possession of two firearms at the time of the crime.

That same night, he knowingly did not stop when three officers were attempting to make a traffic stop. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol when driving the vehicle and had two open champagne bottles in the passenger area of the vehicle.

Rood is charged with felony terroristic threats, felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, DUI, three counts of obstruction of law enforcement officers, open container violation, simple assault, and disorderly conduct.
