Kimethe McClure, 29, of Rome was arrested early Wednesday for recklessly driving and shooting a pistol into the air.
McClure is accused of driving a white passenger car on South Broad Street when he failed to stop for emergency vehicles attempting to perform a traffic stop and then ran a stop sign. The vehicle he was operating did not have proper tail lights. McClure was driving the vehicle with a suspended license.
McClure was also found in possession of a pistol which he shot up into the air.
McClure is charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, misdemeanor reckless conduct, misdemeanor driving with suspended license, misdemeanor improper tail light requirement, misdemeanor failure to yield for emergency vehicle and misdemeanor stop sign violation.
