Two physical therapists with Floyd Physical Therapy & Rehab have recently received national certifications enhancing their ability to provide quality care.
Larken Logan has received Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). The certification designates her expertise in treating patients recovering from orthopedic surgery and injuries, back and neck pain and other musculoskeletal issues.
Currently there are only 362 OCS certified physical therapists in the state of Georgia.
Logan has been at Floyd for the past five years and is currently the lead therapist at the Physical Therapy & Rehab clinic in Calhoun.
Hunter Todd, who has been a sports physical therapist at Floyd for the past two years, is now a Sports Certified Specialist through the ABPTS.
The certification designates his expertise in athletic injury management, including acute care, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention and education. Fewer than 1 percent of thera-pists in Georgia achieve this certification.
To obtain ABPTS certification, physical therapists must have extensive hands on experi-ence and pass a rigid, standardized national examination
