The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Paulding County man in connection with a shooting which occurred on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, the Bartow County 911 Center received a call at about 3:20PM on Sunday from a person in the area of Highway 20 SPUR and Sukkau Drive reporting that a woman had been shot multiple times. Deputies arrived and located the victim, Natalie Davis, 53, of Cartersville on the side of Highway 20 SPUR. Davis was taken from the scene by air ambulance to Grady Hospital for treatment. She is expected to recover from her injuries.
Deputies and Investigators were able to determine that David Brooks, 52, of Acworth, was the shooter in this incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Just after 6PM, Paulding County Sheriff’s Deputies took Brooks into custody. Brooks has since been booked into the Bartow County Jail. He is being held without bond at this time under a charge of Aggravated Assault. This case is still under investigation and more charges are possible once the investigation is completed.
