Justin Barron Bachelor, 33 of Summerville, was taken into custody at Redmond Hospital after police said he hit an emergency official in the head.

Reports stated that Bachelor ignored commands of emergency officials and proceeded to hit an official in the head with a closed fist after it was discovered he was found with a stolen vehicle containing two guns.

The incident allegedly occurred after he committed several traffic violations.

Reports went on to say that after being taken into custody Bachelor proceeded to kick another emergency official in the leg before striking the back door of a patrol car.

Bachelor is charged with two felony counts obstruction of law enforcement, two counts interference with medical professional by threats of violence, theft by receiving stolen property, interference with government property, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, too fast for conditions, failure to obey traffic control devices and DUI.
