Tevin Antrele Smith, 24 of Summerville, was arrested this week after he was found in a drunken state on North Avenue in Rome.
Reports added that after arriving at the Floyd County Jail he spat on two deputies while in the Sally Port.
Smith is charged with two counts simple battery against a police officer, criminal trespass, city drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
