Cody Glen Huff, 23 of Cartersville, was arrested this week after police said he shoved and threw a man to the ground in front of his child.
Reports indicated that the incident occurred at a home on Old Summerville Road in Rome.
Huff is charged with simple battery and cruelty to children.
