The City of Rome’s Downtown Development Authority (DDA) invites the public to take an exclusive look into downtown Rome’s newest live, work and play spaces including private residences, rental units and future living spaces. The Downtown Loft Tours will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at 3 p.m.
Individuals will have the unique opportunity to view vacant and occupied lofts that would not otherwise be available for the public view. The Downtown Development Office has partnered with Heritage First Bank to make the event possible; proceeds will benefit the Rome Area Heritage Foundation.
The event will showcase five different downtown properties. “Check-out downtown living at its finest,” said Downtown Development Director, Amanda Carter. “Our downtown residents enjoy an urban lifestyle filled with easy access to restaurants, shopping, art, events and nightlife.”
Tour tickets are $20 and must be purchased online at https://www.freshtix.com/events/downtown-loft-tours. There is a minimal service fee.
The walking tour is moderate and includes stairs. It will depart from Heritage First Bank located at 501 Broad St. at 3 p.m. Tour participants must be at least 12 years old. Tickets are required for tour entry.
All proceeds will benefit Rome Area Heritage Foundation, whose mission is to identify and to preserve historic sites and artifacts in Rome and Floyd County.
