Two Boaz individuals were arrested in connection to possession of forged instruments, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Carl Lee Williams, 22, of Boaz, is charged with one count of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and five counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument. Sidney Nicole Stanfield, 21, of Boaz, is charged with seven counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument. All are felonies,” investigator Adam Chapman said.
Williams stated his stole a book of checks from a vehicle, wrote five checks and cashed them at a local convenience store. Stanfield admitted to writing seven checks, given to her by Williams, and cashing them at two local banks.
Williams was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on $15,000 bond. Stanfield is being detained on $17,500 bond.
