Silver Creek Man Arrested After Trying to Kill Father

Jonathan Hayes Hackett, 36 of Silver Creek, was arrested in Rome Monday after he allegedly attempted to kill his 57 year-old father.

Reports stated that Hackett repeatedly beat the victim in the face with his fist while stating that he was going to kill him.

Police said that the victim suffered numerous severe open cuts and bruises.

The incident occurred at Hackett’s then home on Peeples Road in Silver Creek back on July 11^th.
