Robert Lewis Collom, 38 of Rome, was arrested after attacking and injuring a 71 year-old man.
Reports stated that Collom knocked the elderly man to the ground and begin to stomp on his head, resulting in the victim sustaining injury.
Reports went on to state that the suspect stated that the victim provoked him with “racial slurs” and “fighting words”.
Collom is charged with aggravated assault and the exploitation of an elderly or disabled person.
