A two vehicle accident on I-75 at mile marker 296 resulted in three injuries Tuesday morning.

Reports stated that the wreck, which occurred in the southbound lane, occurred around 3:30 am.

According to Brad Cothran, Bartow County EMS public information officer, crews arrived on the and found three male patients injured. A 23-year-old male was found to have a head injury. A medical helicopter was requested. The male was stabilized by BCEMS and flown to Grady Hospital for treatment. EMS found two other males injured and treated those patients for numerous minor injuries and transported them to Cartersville Medical Center.

I-75 Southbound was at a standstill until the late hours of the morning rush.
