Rome Police have launched an investigation into two separate burglaries.

Reports stated that the BP convenience store was burglarized Monday night.  They said that close to $1,200 in cash was stolen just before 2 am.   Security footage showed a person smash the glass on the front door and enter the store.

The suspect was wearing a camouflage jacket. Reports added that after leaving the store he fled towards Bojangles.

The second burglary occurred on Maple Avenue over the weekend.

Reports stated that someone allegedly entered the home and stole a computer, speaker, TV, and two video gaming systems.

The resident told authorities that they had been out of town between 9 pm Saturday and 4 am Monday.

Reports added that police did not find any evidence of forced entry, however, the case is under investigation.
