Rome police have launched an investigation into two burglaries this week in which the suspect(s) used a rock to break into a business and steal money.
Reports said that someone broke into Right at Home on John Davenport Wednesday. Workers said that when they arrived to work they found the office “trashed”. They also found a front glass window broken by a rock. It appeared that the suspect(s) crawled threw the class and into the building.
Authorities reported that blank payroll checks, $300 cash and inactive credit cards were taken.
The Best Choice Thrift store on Shorter Avenue also reported a similar crime. Reports stated that someone heard a loud noise and found that a rock had been thrown though a front glass door.
Authorities added that $200 in cash was taken from that location.
