The identity of a man killed in a two vehicle accident in Bartow County has been released.  Authorities said that 20 year-old Titus Williams of Cartersville man died as the result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Bartow County emergency responders were dispatched to a two vehicle accident Sunday night on HWY 411 at Shaw plant 15.  Reports stated that BCEMS had four EMS units respond due to having numerous patients injured.

Once on the scene EMS requested two helicopters for two critical patients. The patients where flown to a level 1 trauma center.

A male patient was transported to Floyd medical center with numerous trauma injuries. The second vehicle had one female and one male with minor injuries and where transported to Cartersville Medical Center.

The GSP is investigating the cause of the accident.

Update:  GSP investigators said that a Toyota 4Runner, was traveling east on GA 20 approaching the intersection of Old Gilliam Springs Road while a 2006 Nissan Altima was traveling north on Old Gilliam Springs Road.  Reports said that the Altima failed to stop for a stop sign and entered the roadway in the path of the 4 Runner. Charges are pending the completion of the follow-up investigation by the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.

Left rear passenger was pronounced deceased on the scene. The name will be released once we have confirmed that the next of kin has been notified.
